Module 2: The Lean Business Canvas

Do you need a business plan? Technically, of course, you don’t need a plan. Plenty of people start and grow businesses without one.

But defining your larger vision and your goals in a formal plan will help you stay on track so you don’t los sight of your larger vision as you focus on the endless daily to do list.

In this module, We’ll define your purpose, your products, your people and your pricing using a Lean Canvas Business Plan, and then we’ll briefly outline your definition of success and what your three-month, six month and one year success metrics look like. We also write traditional business plans if you need something more formalized.

Before we answer this question, we’ll do a quick review of your Lean Canvas Business Plan from Module 1, so we’re sure everyone is aligned to the same vision. In this module, we’ll do a quick review of your Product Pricing from Module 3, and then we’ll dive into your anticipated expenses–yes, there will be more than you expect–to see how your revenue stacks up against your expenses.

At the end of this module, you’ll receive a introductory document with an estimated Profit and Loss statements and Cash Flow statement for the next 12 months that will serve as the foundation for any bank-ready documents you may need.
