Ingredients for Success Initiative
Famous Amos (yes, the cookie giant) has teamed up with the National Black Chamber of Commerce for the return of the Ingredients for Success Entrepreneurs Initiative, a national pitch competition awarding three $50,000 grants to Black small business owners. Along with capital, winners will receive other resources and tools from the NBCC.

Hello Alice Small Business Growth Fund
Hello Alice wants to know what a $5,000-$25,000 grant would mean for your small business. The Small Business Growth Fund — presented by Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) with funding from Etsy and Progressive — is accepting applications for grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.

Gabrielle Union’s Lift As We Climb Foundation Announces $25,000 Grants
Actress and entrepreneur Gabrielle Union and celebrity hairstylist Larry Sims, co-founders of Flawless by Gabrielle Union, are partnering with LinkedIn to offer $25,000 grants to three Black female-owned businesses, one in fashion, one in skincare and one in hair accessories.
Entry period: April 19, 2023.
Amex and Main Street America Announce $2.3 Million in Small Business Funding
American Express, in partnership with Main Street America, has launched the second year of its Backing Small Businesses grant program. American Express has also increased the number of grants awarded and total funding to more than $2.3 million The grants prioritize candidates that have the potential to improve, revitalize or expand an existing small business in older and historic downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts nationwide..
Entry period: April 7, 2023.
Fast Break for Small Business Supports Black-owned Businesses
Fast Break for Small Business is supporting and investing in Black-owned small businesses by awarding $10,000 grants and a free LegalZoom product or service valued up to $500. Together with the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League, they’re investing $6 million in small businesses.
Entry period: February 1-17, 2023.
FedEx Small Business Grant Contest
FedEx is rolling out its 11th annual Small Business Grant Contest, which will award more than $330,000 in grants and services to 10 U.S.- based small businesses.
Entry period: January 31 – February 21, 2023.
Qualified businesses: U.S.-based for-profit small businesses that have 1-99 employees, have been in operations selling a product or service for six months or more as of January 31, 2023, and have a shipping and printing need..

Also know that small business grants are incredibly competitive–hundreds and even thousands of businesses often apply for grants as small as $5,000.
